Tree Felling Equipment: Rigging
A fundamental piece of gear for any arborist is rigging. We provide one of the most comprehensive selections of rigging equipment Ireland has to offer. Starting with the heavy-duty stuff, winches are essential for efficiency and safety, and we provide two which we are happy to stand behind for their quality. ArbPro provides some of the best quality winches available. ArbPro built both LD1 and LD2 systems with excellent trunk-mounted systems that can bear quite a bit of weight. The LD1 has a 15kg steel mainframe, uses a 140mm rigging bollard (11kg), has a safe working load with the winch of 800kg and a safe working load with the bollard 1000kg. The LD2 is a bigger, strong device and recommended if you have larger loads to deal with. This has a 16.5-kilogram aluminium frame, a 5kg rigging bollard and has breaking strength with the clutch of 7500 kilograms. The safe working load using the winch is up to 1200 kilograms, and the working load with the bollard is up to 1500 kilograms.
Lowering Devices
We also provide several lowering devices for smaller jobs and easier loads. Included in these are the Stein range. Including the top mountain strap, pre-tension pulley, LD750 lowering device, and the RC1000. If you need something stronger we also provide the Treehog THLD5 3T lowering device. This machine is the only lowering bollard you’ll need and will allow you to handle a max of 3000 kN WLL. It uses four large feet made of rubber to provide stability against the stem and uses two heavy ratchet straps to secure the bollard in place.
